Why should I consider prepping?

• Negative responses can be minimised by preparing the skin, bringing it to maximum health through the use of AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) prior to treatments. These AHA’s often have small percentages of the same type of acid that will be used in the chemical peel you have chosen to undergo.

This treatment is primarily used at The Angel Laser Clinic after a patient has a Nature Peel Microdermabrasion. The reason for this is quite simple, after a Microdermabrasion treatment we have basically removed all the dead skin cells which was sitting on the skin like a barrier. Now that we have removed them the skin has more chance of absorbing any products/ pharmaceuticals we decide to apply on the skin afterwards.

We use the helping hand of the Low Frequency Ultrasound to help deliver these substances to an even deeper level of the skin.

The Low Frequency Ultrasound uses sound waves of only 3MHz to create a special effect on the skin named ‘cavitation’. Cavitation is an ultrasound mechanism which involves the generation of tiny air bubbles being formed in between the lipid bi-layer of the skin – resulting in a structural disorder and increased permeability of the skin; it allows pathways for products/pharmaceuticals to travel through.
